The Back Story
I rarely have the luxury of long stretches of uninterrupted alone time and my work usually spans several sessions as I continue to develop my idea to reach a final outcome.
I put in the time and trust the process. My best ideas comes out of the process. I surprise myself all the time and I let the canvas tell me where to go.
This is a recent work and a snapshot of each of the 4 major stages that I adopted in arriving at the final look. It almost feels like the main characters i.e., colours, outline, layers and textures are leading the canvas along the journey of uncertainty, suspense and anticipation to the final destination in a series of playful experiment of sorts.
